15 days ANNAPURNA BASE CAMP TREK
‘Adventure to the base of world’s tenth highest Mt. Annapurna-I’

15 days Annapurna Base Camp and the Mountain Views

15 The Annapurna Base Camp trek is a moderately short and scenic adventure, as well as altitude friendly compared to other over 8,000 meters mountain base camps. Which makes the adventure more enjoyable from the start to the end of walks, facing unbelievable views of snow-capped peaks. The walk follows through lovely traditional mountain villages inhabited by the Gurung, the main tribes of the Annapurna Himalaya range.

As the walk progresses, the climb leads to a serene cool forest of rhododendrons, pines, and fir tree lines with bamboo stalks. The views of Annapurna peaks remain constant during the walks, the walk enters the Modi River gorge. The adventure continues following the Modi River upstream right up to its glacial source at base camp.

Then the walk slowly climbs to enter the picturesque Annapurna Sanctuary, enclosed by an amphitheatre of snow peaks. Where tree lines disappear for an arctic zone of ice and glaciers on reaching Annapurna Base Camp. The only base camp around the Himalayas, with facilities of nice lodges on the foot of the world’s tenth highest peaks.

You will love this walk passing through deep woods, natural waterfalls,  terraced farmlands, alluring local settlements, and thrilling vantage points. Ascending up to Machhapuchhre Base Camp and Annapurna Base Camp and witnessing Annapurna Massif, Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchhre and other beautiful mountain peaks are incredible at the sunrise.

An interesting fact about Annapurna Base Camp and Mt. Annapurna-I at 8,091 m and 26,545 feet high. The first eight thousand meter peaks ever climbed, a record in mountaineering history, summited by the French Expedition.
The expedition was led by the late Maurice Herzog made the ascent on June 03rd, 1950. Three years before Mt. Everest was conquered by Tenzing and Hillary in 1953 on May 29th.

Annapurna Base Camp is quite different from other Himalayan destinations, where trekkers can enjoy the breathtaking mountain scenery; in the comfort of a cozy lodge. The most exciting about Annapurna Base Camp and the Sanctuary is the change in diverse landscapes, vegetation, and climate.
Trekkers will be surprised to experience such a varied wide difference on daily walks from low warm farm areas. Then entering the cold arctic zone of remorseless fields of ice and glaciers at Annapurna Sanctuary and base camp.

Annapurna Conservation Area, the largest protected area in the world, will be another exciting destination to explore. The entire Annapurna Base Camp Trekking trail is based in Annapurna Conservation Area and protected by it.

Overlooking the spectacular panorama of Annapurna's array of peaks from Mt. Annapurna-I, III, and IV with majestic Machhapuchare Himal.
Includes views of A-South, A-Fang or Vara Shikar and Huin-Chuli, Tent peak / Tharpu Chuli with massif Gangapurna Himal.

Actually, 15 the Annapurna Base Camp trek is completely distinct from the Annapurna Circuit Trek and Mardi Himal Trek. The flavour of trekking to Annapurna Base Camp is never ever given by other trekking trails located in the same region.

Having a great overwhelming experience at Annapurna Base Camp 4,130 m, the highest point of the adventure, return journey downhill. Reaching back into dense vegetation and tall tree lines, the walk leads to Chomrong, a large village after Ghandruk.

Slowly the walk comes to an end with a refreshing time in the natural hot spring at Jhinu Danda village. From the last high hill village on a motorable road to scenic Pokhara where our wonderful adventure at Annapurna Base Camp completes.
