High Altitude Sickness
High altitude sickness is a condition can occur when our body not adapting well to having less atmospheric pressure and oxygen at high altitude. It typically affects individuals who are not acclimatized  high altitudes can be potentially dangerous if progresses to more severe forms without treat. Symptoms of altitude illness can begin to occur around 8000ft(2400m) but serious altitude illness is rare below 10000ft(3000m). Body tries to adapt to lower amount of oxygen in the air by increasing the rate and depth of breathing so you breathe faster and deeper which presses try to bring more oxygen in the body. Increase in the number of red blood cells(hemoglobin)occur after staying longer at high altitude.

Causes of Altitude Sickness
Low atmospheric pressure: The decrease in at atmospheric pressure is primarily due to the thinner air at high altitude. Low atmospheric pressure at high altitude has several effects on human body and develop altitude illness. 

Less oxygen:  The primary factor to altitude sickness, oxygen pressure becomes thinner at higher altitudes. This leads to hypoxia, in this condition body tissues inadequate oxygen.

Rapid ascent: Ascending to high altitude rapidly does not give your body enough time to adjust to the changing altitude and the reduced oxygen levels.

You will, initially, leave Kathmandu and drive for Manakamana Temple. Before you get to Manakamana/Kurintar or Cable Car, you will drive through several country settlements and popular Trishuli River. Trishuli river is very popular for white water river rafting in Nepal among the adventure lovers.

Arrive at Kurintar and ride cable to get Manakamana Temple located at the top of the hill. The temple is astoundingly popular among the Hindu devotees and the also offers some magnificent mountain panoramas including Manaslu and Ganesh Himal.

After you have breakfast at hotel, you leave Gorkha for Pokhara. Within 4-5 hours of drive, you will arrive in Pokhara and check in Hotel and get refreshed. In the late afternoon, you will go for sightseeing tour to Davis Fall, Gupteswor Mahadev Cave, Talbarahi Temple, Mahendrabarahi Temple and the grand Shiva statue located in Pumdikot. You leave Pokhara for Muktinath after a beautiful breakfast. You drive to Beni first, then, to Muktinath. You will drive along the smooth concrete road and later along the off country road at the end while you are approaching to Muktinath temple and the Jomsom city.
