How long is the trek from Chisapani to Nagarkot?

The trek between Chisapani and Nagarkot is 20–22 kilometers (12–14 miles) and takes around 6 to 7 walking hours depending on the pace of walking and weather.

Elevation Gain: Chisapani (2,165m) → Nagarkot (2,175m), so the elevation 
is effectively the same.

Best 
Hiking Time: Fall (Sep–Feb) and Spring (Mar–May) due to favorable weather and clear skies.

Yes, one can view Mount Everest on a clear day at Nagarkot, especially between(September–February) and spring (March–May).

Is Nagarkot colder than Kathmandu?

Yes, Nagarkot is colder than Kathmandu because it is at a higher elevation (2,175m) compared to Kathmandu (1,400m). The temperature difference is usually 4–6°C lower than Kathmandu, making it noticeably cooler, especially in the mornings and evenings.

Winter: Cold mornings/nights; bring warm clothes.

Spring & Autumn: Pleasant but chilly in the evenings.

Monsoon: Misty, with cool temperatures and rain.

Chisapani (2,165m) is colder than Nagarkot and Kathmandu due to its higher altitude and location in Shivapuri National Park. Temperature may become significantly lower at night and early morning.

Spring (Mar–May):
