In nest few years, four-wheel jeep drive to Poon Hill will be possible from Pokhara. This way, trekkers can directly go to Ghorepani and Poonhill by jeep except in the months of July and August as these months are peak rainy season in Nepal.
If you are thinking of going Poon Hill by car , it is not possible. Only four-wheel jeep goes up to Ulleri or Banthanti from Pokhara via Nayapool and Birethanti . The Poonhiil Ghorepani Jeep ride from Pokhara up to Ulleri and Banthanti takes 2.30 hrs and the total distance is 52 kilometers.
However, while doing Annapurna Circuit Trek and ending it in Jomsom and Muktinath or Tatopani, you can directly drive either car or jeep conveniently to Poon Hill/Ghorepani.
The jeep from Nayapool to Ulleri/Banthanti costs Rs. 500-1000 depending on weather condition, number of people and the time of year in sharing.7 people can share the same jeep for Ulleri from Nayapool. Normally, the reserve jeep costs Rs.5000-8000 number of people is less than 7, then, the jeep for Ulleri from Nayapool charges around 800-1000 per person.
